Sarah!

Sarah Gladwin Camp :
Founder and Head Teacher

Sarah designs and teaches ZoomDance classes. She has taught kids’ dance, music, drama, and acrobatics at Philadelphia School for the Deaf, InMovement Gymnastics, Goose Route Dance Festival in West Virginia, Children’s Dance Festival in Poland, and Creative Movements and PollyAnna Theatre in London.

Her dance life began at Swarthmore College and continued at Laban School for Contemporary Dance and The Circus Space in London. As a professional dancer and choreographer, she has participated in festivals in Lithuania, Slovakia, Finland, Poland, Florida, Connecticut, Colorado, California, and Pennsylvania, and has performed with groups in Italy and England. Here in Philadelphia, Sarah is a founding member and co-artistic director of contemporary dance theater company Green Chair Dance Group. In addition to choreographing and performing with Green Chair, she is President of the Board at Mascher Space Cooperative and sits on the Advisory Board of DanceUSA/ Philadelphia.

Rachel!

Rachel Camp : Teacher

Rachel is an experienced teacher and actor living in King of Prussia, PA, teaching dance, acting, and special needs theater classes in Philadelphia and the surrounding counties. She has worked for Parks and Recreation in Upper Merion Township teaching tap and musical theater dance classes. Last summer she directed 5th - 11th graders in a production of the musical Into the Woods, Jr. for a 5-week Consortium for the Arts program. For Norristown theater company Theatre Horizon, Rachel has taught many weeks of Summer Drama Camps for 7 to 12-year-olds, as well as for the Autism Drama Outreach program (a series of classes created to stimulate imaginative play and social creativity for children with autism).

Rachel started dancing at the age of 5 at Steppin' Out Academy of Performing Arts, training in ballet, tap, jazz, modern, pointe, hip hop, and lyrical. She continued her training at Montclair State University, where she graduated with a B.F.A. in Musical Theater. She is working with BlocNYC Talent Agency in New York to continue performing on the East Coast, most recently with 11th Hour Theatre Company, People's Light and Theatre Company, and Theatre Horizon.

Dava Yanoff

Dava Yanoff : Teacher

Dava Yanoff is a mother of two little boys, ages five and one, as well as a life-long student of dance with a BA in Theatre and Dance from Dickinson College and a masters in early childhood education from Oakland University. She has taught ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, and modern dance for the past ten years. In class, Dava combines a love for dance and music with a deep understanding of developmentally appropriate practice to guide her students along their own journey with dance. She focuses on creative expression and imagination, self- and spatial-awareness, and musicality and rhythm to foster a genuine love of dance and to allow her students to make connections with themselves and others through dance.

Aliyah Novelli

Aliyah Novelli : Teacher

Aliyah Novelli began dancing seriously at the Pennsylvania Academy of Ballet, studying under the direction of Mr. and Mrs. White. A full scholarship recipient, Aliyah attended the Pennsylvania Governor's School for the Arts in 2007. Interested in expanding her dance approach, Aliyah began her studies at Temple University in 2008. Aliyah studied at the Academia del'Arte in Arezzo, Italy and continued her studies at Temple Rome in 2011. She has performed for Tiffany Mills and Marion Ramirez as well as in Temple's Student, MFA and Faculty Concerts. Her work was selected to be shown in Temple's Global Conference in 2012. Teaching creative movement, Aliyah has interned with Dr. Teresa Benzwie at Barclay Early Childhood Center in Cherry Hill, NJ where she worked with inclusion classes. Aliyah also lead an Independent Study at Walnut Center Head Start where she designed and taught creative movement lessons in 2012. Since graduating in August 2012, Aliyah will be teaching dance at Friends' Central School in November. 

Gracie

Gracianna Coscia : Teacher

Gracianna Coscia will graduate in May, 2013 with a BFA in dance from Temple University. She began dancing at age 5 and continued studying dance and performing through high school, at George School, Princeton Ballet School, with the Terpsichorean Dance Company and Actor’s Net in Bucks County. While at Temple the past four years, Gracianna has performed for artists including Francis Germillion, Megan Mizanty, Becca Webber, Rori Smith, and others. She participated in Tiffany Mills’ Residency, performing in the Faculty Dance Concert at Temple and in Brooklyn during the Tiffany Mills Summer Program. Gracianna has worked since freshman year with dance and movement therapist Dr. Therese Benzwie, teaching academic lessons through dance and other art forms to preschoolers at Barclay Learning Center, NJ. Beginning in 2009, Gracianna created and directed the dance program at Camp Onas. She is currently choreographing her senior thesis dance, For Me, For You, For Us, presented in May 2013, as well as dancing for Marion Ramirez in this seasons Endings. Gracianna loves connecting with all people through dance, especially children.
